National Support Circles
Real connection. Shared understanding. A place to belong.
Miles apart, but never alone.
From coast to coast, youth show up for each other with laughter, care, and connection that is felt even through the screen. This is what it looks like to be part of something real.

A National Community of Support
Our online Support Circles bring together youth from across the country who share the experience of having an incarcerated parent. In weekly Zoom gatherings, led by trained facilitators and young adult mentors with lived experience, youth find something many have never had: a space where they’re understood.
These are not passive or clinical groups. They’re fun, dynamic, and deeply affirming. We play games, tell stories, and laugh together, and each session includes a virtual fire circle, where youth can choose to share their experiences or simply listen. Just being in a space with others who understand makes a powerful difference.
In these circles, youth build friendships, find relief from isolation, and begin to rewrite the stories they’ve carried in silence.
🔸 Serving youth in 32 states (and growing!)
🔸 Always 100% free to participate
🔸 Led by trained facilitators and mentors with lived-experience
🔸 Youth can return year after year to stay connected
🔸 Leadership opportunities available to returning youth
Many regions in the U.S. have little to no support for children impacted by incarceration (and even fewer programs designed specifically for them). Project Avary’s National Support Circles are changing that.
