Whole Family Support
When families are supported, children thrive.
At Project Avary, we know that healing doesn’t happen in isolation. Youth thrive when their caregivers feel seen, supported, and connected. That’s why we invest in the whole family: because the wellbeing of caregivers directly shapes the growth of the children they’re raising.
Many of our caregivers are grandparents, single parents, or relatives stepping in during crisis. They’re navigating deep loss, stigma, and isolation, all while working tirelessly to care for the next generation. They deserve support, too.
By creating spaces for connection, celebration, and healing, we help caregivers feel a stronger sense of community, and we strengthen the Avary experience for everyone.
What We Offer:
🔸 Family Unity Gatherings: Summer BBQ & Holiday Party
The entire Avary community comes together twice a year to celebrate, connect, and simply enjoy being together.
🔸 Family Camp
Youth, caregivers, and siblings spend a weekend in nature, sharing in the healing process and building trust and connection as a family unit.
🔸 Monthly Caregiver Support Groups (NEW!)
Caregivers connect with one another, share what they’re carrying, and gain tools and support to help their children grow. These bonds deepen the Avary community and strengthen every part of a child’s journey.
“Avary has given us the tools to heal together. My child has opened up in ways I’ve never seen, and I’ve felt supported in ways I didn’t know I needed.”
